Bethesda, MD (July 11, 2017) – Thompson Grants, a division of CBIS and known as the leading provider of grants compliance information, data and training covering the full grants life cycle, today announced its new database of grants opportunities. GrantScape, available at, represents millions in funding from federal agencies, state and local governments and private foundations.

Using proprietary research technology that detects any updates to grants, the Thompson Grants data process provides a level of information not previously obtainable through manual research methods. This technology, combined with Thompson’s large team of researchers who collect opportunities from thousands of different sources and data feed, creates a database that is both one of the most comprehensive and one of the most current. Plus, an expanding universe of opportunities means ensures users not only get access to as much funding as possible, but also the best funding.

Created with the busy grants writer in mind, the power of GrantScape really comes into play as users create and save customized searches based on a number of filtering criteria, including location, funding amount and organization type. Users can choose to receive updates to those searches as weekly alerts, ensuring that new and targeted funding opportunities are delivered straight to the user’s inbox without any extra work.

Access to GrantScape is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, starting at just $49 per month. Upgraded options include online subscriptions to Thompson’s Federal Grants Development Handbook or Thompson’s Grants Compliance Expert Complete Suite.

Subscribers to GrantScape will be able to:

  • Find the grants that matter by searching on a variety of criteria
  • Get grants alerts that showcase new grants matching search criteria
  • Never miss a deadline with notifications of approaching grant submission dates
  • Save and share the grant opportunities with their team
  • See often hard-to-find information on private funders for better understanding of potential finding sources

“We are very proud of what we have accomplished in launching this database,” says Julie Rachlin, Head of Thompson Grants. “We’ve taken CBIS’ expertise in data mining and analysis and paired it with Thompson Grants’ industry knowledge to create a tool to make searching for and finding new grants opportunities easier and more expansive than ever before.”
