Dr. Karen Stinson, is the Superintendent of Van Buren Community School District. A former teacher, K-12 and college administrator and grant consultant, Karen has written millions in state and federal grants including Safe Schools/Healthy Students, Drug Free Communities and 21st Century. She has more than 200 published articles in regional, state or national publications and serves as a field editor for several national journals including National Middle School Journal and Journal of Balanced Reading. She is also a national, state and regional presenter. She is an active member of her administrative community including being selected to participate in Leading with Soul and Balanced Leadership training. Karen has been very actively involved with national grant organizations for the past 10 years and has served as a board member of both the American Association of Grant Professionals (AAGP) and the AAGP Foundation. She is currently serving on the Community Foundation Board where she enjoys awarding money for worthy causes. She co-authored three books for Thompson Publishing Group with Dr. Phyl Renninger.
Dr. Phyl Renninger, GPC, is the Director of Resource Development for Florida Community College at Jacksonville. As a prior teacher, K-12 school administrator, school district grant supervisor and grant consultant. Phyl has a wide range of experiences with small and large organizations and grant revenues that have ranged from $59 thousand to $86 million a year. Phyl has been very actively involved with national grant organizations for the past 10 years. She is currently a board member of the Florida Council for Resource Development (FCRD). Prior to that, Phyl served as one of the founding members, as well as Past Presidents, of both the American Association of Grant Professionals (AAGP) and the AAGP Foundation. In addition to her extensive grant experience, Phyl is a national speaker and is actively involved with her community including serving as Mayor of Orange Park. She has co-authored three books for Thompson Publishing Group with Dr. Karen Stinson and has many articles in state and national journals.
